What we collect
Homeowners browsing the directory: nothing that identifies you. No account is required and we do not require an email address to view listings. Standard server logs record IP address and browser type.
If you submit a report or a form: whatever you choose to give us — name, email, phone, and the details of your report. Contact details are optional on the report form.
Contractors who apply: business name, owner name, contact details, license number, insurance carrier, and business filing information. To confirm what you have told us, we look at public business records — the state licensing board, the Secretary of State — and we speak to your insurance carrier. These are records about the business, not about you personally, and we do not run consumer background reports on individuals.
What we do with it

- Contact contractors about their application, listing, or renewal
- Improve the site
We do not sell personal information. We do not sell or rent our contractor list.
What we publish
A verified listing shows the business name, trade, location, and that verification is current. We do not publish the records we review, or anything we find in them. We do not obtain or store consumer background reports on individuals.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us operate: hosting, email delivery, and payment processing. They may only use it to provide those services.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to prevent or respond to fraud.
Cookies
The directory is browsable without cookies. We use minimal analytics to understand traffic.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contractors may request removal from the directory at any time.
