Our calling policy
We reach out to trades businesses across the Gulf Coast. Here is exactly how we do it, and what you can hold us to.
TrustLight scores other businesses partly on how they handle outreach. It would be hollow not to publish our own standard, so here it is.
We call businesses, not homeowners
Our outreach is business to business. We do not cold call homeowners, ever, and we will never call a homeowner about disaster repair work. If someone calls you claiming to be from TrustLight offering contractor services to your home, it is not us — please report it.
What we commit to
- We identify ourselves immediately. Caller's name and TrustLight, in the first sentence.
- Authenticated caller ID. No spoofing, no fake local numbers, no disguising who is calling.
- Reasonable hours. Business hours in your local time. No early morning, no evening, no weekends.
- One "no" is enough. Ask us not to call again and you go on our permanent internal do-not-call list. You do not have to explain why, and you will not get a "just one more thing."
- No pressure tactics. No fake deadlines, no invented scarcity, no manufactured urgency about storm season.
- We tell you how we got your number. Every time, if you ask.
How we got your number
Publicly listed business contact information — state licensing records, business filings, public directory listings, and your own published website. We do not buy consumer lead lists and we do not scrape personal phone numbers.
Stop calls
Tell any caller directly, or send us a note with your business name and number. It takes effect immediately and permanently.
If we get it wrong
Report it and we will look into it and tell you what happened. A published policy is only worth something if it's enforced.
